Come on all Sharks, please let’s get out and about and support our boy’s for the last game of the year. The YJFL have spaced our games so we can get to all three of them. RED, BLACK and WHITE is needed on mass this Sunday. I look forward to seeing as many of the Sharks family present as possible.

Sunday 11th September – Presentation Day and AGM
This great day whereby every team is acknowledged, awards given, milestones recognise and business procedures adhered to. Under our constitution all members are encouraged to attend the formalities which will be conducted mid-way through presentation.
Times:
U8’s & U9’s Presentations 10.30am – 11am
U10’s, U11’s & U12’s Presentations 11.15am – 12pm
AGM & U13’s jU14’s, U15’s & Colts 12.30pm – 2pm
BBQ and Canteen will be open and operated by the Lions Club on the day.
Tuesday 6th September – Youth Girls Lightning Premiership
Our inaugural Youth Girls Lightning Premiership takes place between 6 schools with 7 teams. This will be held at Domeney from 10.00am until 2.00pm. This will be the first of the Primary Schools to be involved in this format.
This is a part of our club’s push towards the introduction of youth girls teams next year. If you’re available to help out with assistant roles on the day, including ‘skills sessions’ similar to Auskick, then please let us know. We are expecting over 150 girls from year 5 and 6 on the day.

DFS ELITE SUMMER TRAINING PROGRAM:
As the football season begins to wrap up for many of your teams, DFS is in full preparation ready for our Elite Summer Training Program beginning at the end of October. Our 2016 STP is going to be bigger and better than ever, with many new locations to choose from. Staying tit over the summer period is crucial for your player’s development and preparation in readiness for the 2017 season.
The program combines all the key elements of DFS.
- Train with other highly talented and committed players in a rewarding and intense elite environment
- Access to AFL, VFL, TAC Cup and inter-league level coaches
- Access to elite-level strength and conditioning staff that can tailor optional programs for your needs
- Highly organised sessions using proven skills development drills and game sense activities
- Specialist coaching visits from current AFL stars
- Choice of 7 locations
- Train in your own age-specific group
- Train and tour at an AFL club
REGISTRATION PROCESS:
For all keen young footy players, an EOI form is available on our website. Fill this form in and click SUBMIT, we will then be in contact with further details. Automatic entry into our DFS Summer Training Programs is available to those who TRIALLED/PLAYED in REPRESENTATIVE/TAC CUP games in 2016.
AGE GROUPS:
There are 2 development squads dependent on age
Junior Development Squad: UlO – U12 (based on 2017 age group)
Senior Development Squad: U13- U16+ (based on 2017 age group)

2016 Girls Summer Development Program
As you may be aware the YJFL Summer Development Programs are upon us. The female programs are open to girls of all ages, and we encourage clubs to invite girls who will be new players in 2017.
The program details are as follows:
Where: Bulleen Park, Oval 1
When: Wednesdays 5.30pm – 7.30pm
Dates: 19th October – 30th November (6 sessions – not Melb Cup week)
