Season 2016 is fast approaching and we are very excited. Memberships have hit 200+ and we are well on our way to the yearly average of 400+.
Registrations
To those of you who were unable to make our Registration Day on Sunday 7th, don’t worry you can do it all on line. The registration portal is open and available here!
Consent, Code of Conduct and Medical Form
Every player registering with the Sharks for Season 2016 – new or returning – is required to complete this form prior to season commencement.
Practice Matches
Our Football Department have been hard it over the break and our annual practice match dates have been scheduled as follows:
- Sunday 20th March 2016 – Kinglake IntraClub Matches
- Sunday 10th April 2016 – Sharks vs Canterbury / Booroondara
A full schedule containing times, locations, oppositions, shorts, etc will follow in due course. Watch this space!
Auskick
The opening Auskick Clinic will be Saturday 16th April at Stintons Reserve (pending any delays with sowing of winter grass).
So spread the news and until then watch the space for AusKick Registration Day, its coming!!!
Mouthguard Fittings!
Our resident dental guru Gary Linkin is ready to provide your child with a professionally fitted mouth guard at a discount price – $85.00 (claimable if you have dental cover on your private health insurance).

- Wednesday 24th February, 7:00pm to 9:00pm
- Sunday 28th February, 11:00am to 1:00pm
Prior to attending please ensure you complete a Mouthguard Order Form and have payment ready on the day. Gary is a parent helper, and has been doing this for an extended period at a reduced rate, it’s only fair he gets paid. If you can’t make it on either of these days, please give Gary a call on 0409 418 041 to make alternative arrangements.
Merchandise
Merchandise items can be ordered online. Nina Foxwell our Merchandise Manager will also be selling merchandise at Kinglake.
Training
Whilst some of our more senior teams have commenced training, the more junior teams will start in a few weeks. Coaches or Team Managers will be in contact with you in due course.
New Rules – Under 8, 9, 10
Season 2016 will see minor adjustments to rules for these younger age groups. A summary of the rule changes will be uploaded to the Sharks web site very soon for your reference. Matt Fasan will continue in his role of Under Age Ambassador in 2016 and he will be available to answer all questions.
Team App
The Sharks are proud to make available “Team App”. Team App is a smartphone app that puts everything you need to know about the Sharks and the footy season on your smartphone. Grab the app from the Apple App Store (iPhone) or Google Play Store (Android) for free, then search for “Sharks Junior Football Club”, and you’re up and running! Thanks to Director of Football Mark Leonard for organising this fantastic tool for the Club.
