A special thankyou to all those who braved the cold to attend our second Burger Night. To those who chose to remain indoors, do not blame you for a minute, and hope to catch up with you all at our future events – please take note below.
Mother’s Day – next Sunday!
This Sunday 11 May 2014 marks Mothers Day, the Dad’s can thank me later for the reminder, but I would like all our young players to please make sure you get up a little earlier to give your mum breakfast in bed.
As a small gesture and treat the Sharks Canteens will be providing free coffee to our Sharks Mums during the course of the day. Mum’s just need to present yourselves at the Canteen windows and let us do the rest.
Canteen Duties – next Sunday!
All Team Managers are asked to ensure that the Fathers are rostered on to do canteen. For those of you who would prefer not to, and I am sure there would only be one or two, please remember our resident Canteen Helper for Hire – Alisha Hickey. Alisha is young entrepreneur who makes herself available each week to cover canteen shifts for a small fee. Those of you looking to engage her help are asked to please call on 0499 301 678
SharKwiz – Trivia Night!
Sharkwiz 2014 is fast approaching…Saturday 31 May 2014 at Domeney Reserve! See your Team Managers and the website for details.
The SharKwiz organising committee are seeking sponsorships and auction items for the SharKwiz. A flyer explaining the sponsorship opportunities available and request for any prizes/auction items that the Shark’s Community are willing to donate is displayed on our webpage.
Education Evening – June 2014!
Each year the Sharks Junior Football Club hold an education evening on topical issues impacting our community. This years topic is ‘Coping with Disappointment’ which will take a look at the pressures often associated with being successful whether at school, sport or in life and the by-products of these pressure on our children. More information will be provided closer to the date.
Sharks launch new technology!
Our previous website has been upgraded to a new design that improves compatibility with mobile phones and tablets. I encourage you all to take a look and provide me with any comments.
Sharks survey!
The Sharks have also launched a Membership Survey on our new website, and I encourage you all to have a look and provide your comments. The future direction of this wonderful club will be based on your comments and feedback.
