Season 2015 is flying past with most teams faring pretty well. Each year the Sharks Committee and Membership are subject to issues beyond our control. Can I ask you to please to read carefully below and bear these in mind for the remainder of the season.
Sporting Pulse Game Fixture!
Most of you would have noticed a lot of anomalies in the game fixture within Sporting Pulse. Unfortunately, a change in their service provider/owner has created a myriad of issues for not only the YJFL but all sporting codes that use this system.
The YJFL advises that they are unable to manually change these and as a result you will notice that some of you play games against teams twice in a row, play few home games, or are rostered at the home side at an away venue.
Your team managers are all over these issues and are working with Paul Hayes – Director of Team Managers – to ensure you get the right information. I appreciate your patience and common sense around these issue.
Team Photos!
Team Photos will be taken this Friday and Sunday. All players are asked to wear their game day jumper, black shorts, sharks socks, clean football boots and a smile. Your Team Manager will provide you with photo times in due course.
Calendar!
Due to circumstances beyond our control we are currently having to review the dates for our Sharks Ball, Senior Players Dinner and Presentation Day. To that end I ask that you ignore the current dates set in the Sharks Calendar and I will provide you with more information as soon as we lock these in.
Senior Sharks!
The Park Orchards Football Club (Seniors) are back at the Shark Tank again this Saturday against South Belgrave. Whilst last week was a gallant effort against the Division 3 favourites, I am sure the boys will be out to avenge the home loss with a big win. It would be great to see you there. Go Sharks!
We Need You On Committee!
At the end of Season 2015 a number of positions will become vacant on Committee. In the past weeks I some generous people have put up there hand for the President, Director of Football and Secretary roles. These will be announced at our Annual General Meeting.
Whilst some of the Executive roles have been covered we still need at Treasurer and other people to come onto Committee as General Helpers.
We are NOW seeking your support, so if you are in a position to assist can you PLEASE give me a call.
